Nelson Pahl, Managing Editor
Nelson’s an award-winning writer. He began his professional writing & editing career in 2000. In the time since, he’s published nine books (six fiction, three non-fiction) and more than 200 articles, essays, editorials, and podcasts. His forthcoming effort, Bio-Hacking for Behavior, is set to be released in 2017.
From May 2005 to November 2006, Nelson served as Managing Editor of the now-defunct Indie Nation magazine. In the late 2000s, he published a weekly column in the American Chronicle called “The Pahl Paw Patch,” which featured original essays, short stories, and editorials.
His undergraduate studies include concentrations in Creative Writing and Psychology. He earned an MBA Certificate from Tulane, and he’s currently working toward a Ph.D. in Psychogerontology.
Nelson discovered his love for nutrition and Complementary & Alternative Medicine while a member of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He currently holds industry-related certifications in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition ®, Metabolic Healing, and CARES Dementia Caregiving.
Nelson digs mountains, blue skies, hiking, cycling, kayaking, yoga, qi gong, burst training, traveling, and spending time with his two mutts, Izzy and Moose.
Aimee Hughes, Senior Staff Writer
Aimee’s a holistic health and spirituality writer that’s been traveling and exploring the world of natural health and wellness, yoga, dance, and travel for the past two decades. She’s been an actress, nanny, flamenco dancer, yoga teacher, and now petsitter and writer.
Aimee’s author of the vegan cookbook, The Sexy Vegan Kitchen: Culinary Adventures in Love & Sex. She’s also served as lead writer and health consultant for the Yandara Yoga Institute in Todos Santos, Baja, Mexico. In addition, she’s penned hundreds and hundreds of articles for publications and websites such as Nature & Health (AU), The South African Journal of Natural Medicine, Reader’s Digest Canada, On Fitness magazine, Elephant Journal, The Traveller (UK), Gaia TV, The South China Morning Post (Hong Kong), Yogi Approved, DOYOUYOGA, Yogis Anonymous, Yogapedia, Natural Awakenings, and Longevity Times.
After earning her BA in French Literature from Tulane University, Aimee went on to earn Doctor of Naturopathy (ND) credentials from Clayton College.
Aimee loves cooking, aromatherapy, bicycle rides, long walks, caring for animals, meditating, candles, yoga, farmer’s markets, lattes, teas, natural beauty care, French films, and Italian language.

Shellie Rae, Office Manager
Shellie boasts a 25-plus-year management career in retail, eCommerce, and digital publishing. Her ABA studies include a concentration in Project Management.
In addition to being a CARES Advanced Dementia-certified caregiver, Shellie conducts various research, social media, and back office duties for Longevity Times.
Andrijana Velichkovska, Virtual Assistant
Andrijana’s our “Super Virtual Assistant,” with a hand in most things “back office,” like data entry, research, scheduling, correspondence, and membership matters.
Her resume includes stints with Vanilla Soft, Inside View, Keller Williams, Veland, and Level Up Marketing.
